Frequently Asked Questions: Will my officiant take part in my theme wedding?
As an officiant in Montreal, Quebec, I often get asked if I will take part in the wedding or vow renewal theme. This is a great question!!! For the most part, my answer is YES! I absolutely love to take part in weddings that have a goal of also having fun. I am always open to having an open discussion with the couple about how they would like me to present myself whether the wedding is a theme wedding or not. In general, I wear a black or dark blue dress with a turquoise stole to distinguish myself from the family and friends. Should the couple have a specific color theme or even a movie or time-based theme they would like to incorporate in their wedding then I am open.
When it comes to joining in on the soon to be newlyweds theme, my constraints are that the outfit or costume must be tasteful. If the couple would like me to purchase something to fit their theme, it will be an add-on to the price of the package that they have chosen. Of course I will always remain on budget.
So, if you want a Harry Potter wedding or vow renewal, let’s go! The options are definitely much more than just Harry Potter.
