Frequently Asked Question: Why did you become an officiant?

I get asked this question a lot by people around me.  For years, I have asked my friends if I could be the person to officiate their weddings.  Unfortunately, many were already married or decided to simply live together.  I’ve always found weddings to be such positive displays of love and to be honest, I always get a teary eyed during a ceremony.

I never thought it would be possible for me to become a wedding officiant in Montreal, Quebec until one day, during some fun research for another project, I found a way to finally do it. I didn’t even have to think about it for very long.  I jumped at the opportunity, and as they say, the rest is history.

It is a great pleasure and privilege that I get to be part of ceremonies that honor love and respect for one another.  I was also excited to see that I could be a celebrant for birth celebrations, vow renewals and memorials or celebrations of life. As someone who has seen many around me grow their families, I think it is important to welcome a child into the world and celebrate the miracle of birth.  As someone who studied science, I have always marveled at how cells just know what to do and how to come together to create a life.  On the contrary, as someone who has lost very important people in my life, I also believe that we need to honor and celebrate those we have lost.  They have had incredible impacts on our lives, and we need to honor and remember those people.

As an officiant in Montreal, it is my greatest honor to share in your love, joy, and sometimes sadness.  If you would like to book with me, please email me at celebrationscoeuracoeur@gmail.com or call 438-371-9738.
